YOU ARE THE WHOLE GARDEN
I recently had the opportunity to set up a beautiful spring photo shoot with a client who was open to my creative ideas. As we worked together to capture some stunning images, I couldn't help but be inspired by the message she shared when she posted her photos on social media.
In her post, she talked about her journey towards self-love and empowerment. She expressed how she had come to embrace her authentic self and let go of the expectations of others. Instead of just blooming like a single flower, she saw herself as an entire garden – with a variety of flowers, plants, and even some thorns that made up the beautiful landscape of who she was.
“ I am proud of how far I have come in my own self love journey. I recently fell in love with the idea that instead of "blooming" like a single flower, I am an entire garden! There are a variety of flowers and plants, even some with thorns, that make up the whole of me.
I think the more we embrace our authentic selves and let go of the expectation of others, the more beautiful we become, all while giving permission for others to do the same.
Keep planting, watering, blooming, and weeding out the negative and allowing ALL of your beauty to create a gorgeous landscape.”
This message really resonated with me and reminded me of the power of self-acceptance. It was amazing to see how far my client had come since our first session together two years ago when she was nervous and unsure. Now, she truly shines with confidence and beauty.
I love the idea that by embracing our authentic selves and letting go of negativity, we can all bloom and create a gorgeous landscape of beauty. It's a reminder that we are all unique and beautiful in our own way, and that by being true to ourselves, we give others permission to do the same.
As a photographer, it's moments like these that make me truly love what I do. I get to capture not just images, but moments of empowerment and self-discovery. Seeing my clients grow in confidence and self-love is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.
So keep planting, watering, blooming, and weeding out the negativity. Embrace all of your beauty and let your authentic self shine. You are the entire garden, and your unique beauty deserves to be celebrated.
